Homework
The picture I photoshoped looks better now because i made it look lighter. the sky looks more blue, and you can see the sunset a little bit more than before it was dark. The windows of the buildings are more blue which make the buildings pop.
College Study:
Seattle Central Community College has a Photography Commercial program which offers a 2 year A.A.S (Associate of Applied Science) degree. You will need 119 credits to obtain that degree.
Job titles include commercial photographer, photographer’s assistant; or laboratory/digital technician in portrait photography, advertising, or freelance photographer.
Academy of Art University in San Francisco offers an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Photography. To get your AA you will need 66 credits. The program is 2 years long. You will need 2 written communication courses, 2 Art Hisotry & Appreciation courses, and 1 Employment Communications & Practices course.
I think the Academy of Art University is a better option because you only need 66 credits to get your AA while at SCCC you will need 119 credits for your AA
Critique
I like this picture because it looks like she is rising into the clouds. If i could change it i would cut off the bench so it could look like she is really flying. I took this photograph by putting the camera closer to the ground. i took it the way i did because you can see the clouds
Artist Study
Chris Jordan is an artist based in Seattle Washington who is best known for his large scale works depicting mass consumption and waste, particularly garbage. He has been called "the 'it' artist of the green movement. Jordan grew up in Conetticut where he was going to attend UC Santa Barbara to study music but he later transffered to University of Texas at Austin. He then attended law school He then attended law school "for all the wrong reasons," including a wrongful arrest at a young age, and then worked as a corporate lawyer. In the meantime, he spent all his free time and money on photography. He moved to Seattle because of its reputation as an interesting city that was near climbable mountains.
Many of Chris Jordans photography came from garbage and mass comsumption consumption, his technique started when he visited an industrial yard to look at patterns of color and order.
What I like about Chris Jordan is that he takes pictures of random things that have patterns for example one of his photographs involves a bunch of plastic soda/water bottles
